Get To Know Me

A Little Bit About Myself

In addition to my full-time focus on software development, I have been a mentor in various roles for many years.

Among other things, I help people learn about programming, how to conduct fair and objective interviews and how to live a better life.

I am father of two little girls who keep me busy every day. We travel a lot and try to explore as many parts of this wonderful world as possible.

My Kotlin Story

As a passionate Kotlin enthusiast, I have been sharing my knowledge of this powerful programming language with others since I first learned using it in 2016. I created a blog, became an active member of the Kotlin community, and helped many people understand the nuances of the language.
In 2018, I made the decision to transition to working with Kotlin full-time, and I have never looked back.

My excitement for Kotlin is boundless, and I would love to share it with you through personalized coaching sessions. Let me help you become proficient in Kotlin and take your development skills to the next level.

Let me share my excitement with you and teach you Kotlin!

Areas Of Specialty

Software Engineering

With more than 10 years of experience in the software industry, I have been parts of many teams and projects. My focus has always been in backend area and that's still where I feel most comfortable.

Mentoring

I have been a mentor for a couple of years. Mentoring more junior engineers has always been an important part of my career. Besides that, I appear as a mentor on various platforms and enjoy teaching others about the things I enjoy the most. Kotlin is one of these things.

Content Development

I enjoy creating digital content. This may be via blog posts or technical articles, guides or even coding interview questions.

Technical Writing

When I started learning Kotlin, I decided to write about my learnings so others could benefit from it as well. True to the motto "In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn.". I also enjoy writing technical documentation and user-facing guides or tutorials.

Conference Speaking

I have spoken at international conferences including Droidcon NYC and Devoxx UK
